The S&P BSE Sensex shed by 219 points, or 0.86 per-cent, to close the trading today at 25,310 while the 50-stock Nifty 50 locked the day with 7,701, down 64 points, or 0.82 per-cent. GAIL & Vedanta contributed most of the losses in the BSE benchmark.
