MARKET ANALYSIS
The S&P BSE Sensex ended a lackluster session in the red as traders
squared off long positions ahead of the June series F&O expiry. Gains in
auto, pharmaceuticals and IT were offset by losses in capital goods, banks
and oil & gas sectors.
The 30-share index ended at 25,313.74, down 55.16 points or 0.22 per
cent. It touched intraday high of 25,427.80 and a low of 25,274.39 in trade
today.
The Nifty closed at 7,569.25, down 10.95 points or 0.14 per cent. It
touched intraday high of 7,589.25 and a low of 7,557.05 in trade today.
The market breadth was positive on the BSE with 1680 gainers against
1341 losers.
The foreign institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 284.61 crore
while domestic institutional investors were net sellers worth Rs 216.17
crore on Tuesday as per the provisional data from the National Stock
Exchange.
